HOW IT
WORKS
THE BOARD BUDDY hanger kit STEP-BY-STEP USER GUIDE
Using the BOARD CLAMPS and the 2 small ‘U’ brackets and screws, attach the BOARD CLAMPS to the top edge of your panel board.
Position them approx 200mm in from each side and 1m apart. Tighten the screws to secure them.
Raise the panel board with the BOARD CLAMPS fitted and offer on to the JOIST CLAMPS.
Ensure the BOARD CLAMPS are securely engaged with each of the corresponding JOIST CLAMPS.
Attach the JOIST CLAMPS (x2) securely to the joist. Approx 1m apart. (to match the clamps on the board).
Plan ahead! You will need to bear in mind that the first board (once fitted and the clamps are removed) is positioned in the centre of the joist, indicated by the dotted line. This will allow space to secure your next board to the same joist.
STEP 1 - HANG.
The panel board is now securely hanging on the CLAMPS and you are now free to swing the panel board into place.
With the panel board now hanging securely from the joist, take a T-BAR (not supplied) and place it against your panel board.
Firmly push against the panel board and walk it into place, lifting it upwards as you go.
STEP 2 - SWING.
Once you have pushed the panel board all the way up to meet the required fixing joist, use the T-BAR to prop it in place.
With the panel board propped on the T-BAR, resting against the joist, you are now free to secure this end in position.
Once you have secured one end of the panel board to the joist, you can then proceed to secure approximately half of the board along both sides before removing the CLAMPS.
Before securing the clamped end of the panel board, remember to unscrew and remove the clamps from both the board and the joist.
STEP 3 - FIX.
Once fully secured, and with enough space to secure your next board to the same joist, repeat the process.
